Our dedicated team, including Vice Chair Jörgen Larsson, CEO Jimmy Binderup Andersen, and Cassandra Waad, was cordially invited by FAIR and GSI to engage in a fruitful discussion on present logistics challenges. The focus of this meeting was to explore the myriad benefits that RI.Logistica brings to the table, delve deepinto the complex logistic challenges faced by Research Infrastructures (RIs), and emphasize the incredible opportunities for mutual learning and cooperation.
Every new member welcomed into our community extends the list of shared challenges, and with it, the collective determination and commitment to tackle these challenges collaboratively grows. The strength of our network lies in the ability to leverage our collective knowledge and resources to make a substantial impact on the logistics landscape.
Our heartfelt thank you goes out to Dr. Sonia Utermann, Alexander Fiege, Volkmar Mueller, and Michèle Spatar for their warm hospitality during the visit. Special appreciation to Hartmut Reich for guiding us through a fascinating site tour, offering us valuable insights into the intricate operations of GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research and the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH.
We are eagerly looking ahead to the partnership that lies before us, as we collectively strive to #getscienceinplace. The exchange of knowledge, expertise, and experiences between RI.Logistica, FAIR, and GSI is bound to contribute and enhance logistics solutions that benefit the entire scientific research community. Our journey continues, and together, we will shape a more efficient and effective logistical landscape for research infrastructures.
