RI.Logistica invited to high level meeting with DG Research & Innovation at the European Commission!
On the 14th of September, Jörgen Larsson (vice chair) and Jimmy Binderup Andersen (CEO) met up with Dejan Dvorsek (Deputy Head of Unit) and Michael Arentoft (International Cooperation) in Brussels to discuss the impact of the RI.Logistica Association.
Apart from a general introduction to RI. Logistica, special focus was on the following:
◆ The ILO Ukraine initiative – support the rebuilding of Ukraine RIs based on donations
◆ Relation to Green Objectives
▸ Enable RI trading and exchange – Marketplace to minimize waste and optimize reuse
▸ Avoid empty transports – plan use of return transport capacity to reduce the environmental footprint
◆ Innovative Ecosystems – to engage with all stakeholders
◆ Customs challenges – to ease and enable the cross-border exchange of samples and parts.
The overall goal to investigate possible cooperation and support was established and the meeting was as excellent start to a closer cooperation and we look forward to the further discussions and actions!
